Okay, sorry for yet another political post. But ever since the DNC it has been U.S. Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) who has inspired me in times of Democratic doubt. He continues to ride a wave of positive national press with a recent cover story in Washington Monthly. The article tackles the topic of Obama's rising star and wonders if Obama can continue to be a bright light for the Dems. What I like especially is the article's evaluation of past African-Americans considered at one time as possibilities to become America's first black president, and how Obama differs from them.
